Issue Theme: Ordinary Time
The theme of our Summer 2026 issue is “Ordinary Time.” Send us your words and art concerning the beauty in normalcy, the holy in the commonplace, the revelation in routineness, and the epiphanies in the everyday.
The deadline is Pentecost: 24 May 2026.
Submission Guidelines
Via Media Review is published twice a year in eBook format, accepting submissions in all genres. Work may be submitted in languages other than English if accompanied by an English translation. Visual art and thematically appropriate photography are also welcome.
Submissions are always open. There is no submission fee.
Submit up to 2,500 words of prose or a maximum of 10 poems, not exceeding 10 pages in total. Quality images of thematically appropriate artwork in any media are also welcome.
We do not accept AI-generated writing but acknowledge that AI is as present as the internet at large. If your writing sounds like AI wrote it, we will not consider it. Via Media Review will not consider work that promotes violence, sexism, racism, homophobia, or antispiritual polemics.
Submissions should be in one .doc, .docx or PDF attachment and double-spaced in a readable 12-point font.
We are happy to consider simultaneous submissions but ask that you notify us should your work be accepted elsewhere.
Do not include any biographical information within the submission itself. If emailing your submission, please include your name and city/country of residence in the body of the email.
